Larger jobs move into better rates: walls run $1.10 per square foot under 1,000 sq. ft. and drop to $0.90 at 5,000+. Ceilings are $0.75 to $1.00 per square foot for one coat.

We price on actual measured wall area rather than your home's floor area, at $0.90 to $1.10 per wall square foot for two coats with paint included. A standard 14 by 14 bedroom with eight-foot ceilings has about 448 square feet of wall, so walls alone come to roughly $490; adding the ceiling brings it to about $690. There's a $600 minimum job. Whole-home packages move into lower rate tiers, and a full interior package earns a 5% discount. Prices exclude GST.
How long does it take to paint a room?
Most single rooms are a one-day job including prep. A full main floor typically takes two to four days, and a whole house is often about a week. Significant drywall repair or a lot of trim and doors adds time, and we call that out in the quote rather than discovering it later.
Do you paint ceilings too?
Yes. Ceilings are priced separately from walls, at $0.75 to $1.00 per square foot for one coat depending on the size of the job, with a second coat available as an add-on. A flat white ceiling makes a bigger difference than most people expect, especially in rooms that haven't been touched in fifteen years.
Do I need to empty the room first?
No. We move furniture to the centre of the room and cover it, and mask the floors, trim, and fixtures. If there's anything fragile, heavy, or valuable you'd rather move yourself, just flag it at the walkthrough and we'll work around it.
How soon can we use the room again?
Usually the same evening. Modern low-VOC paints are touch-dry within a couple of hours and the smell clears fast. We'd suggest waiting a few days before hanging pictures or pushing furniture hard against a wall, since paint keeps curing after it's dry to the touch.
Can you paint over wallpaper?
Sometimes, but it's usually a bad idea. Paint adds moisture that can loosen the wallpaper adhesive, and seams telegraph through the finish. Removing the paper and skim-coating the wall is more work up front but gives a result that doesn't fail in two years. We'll assess it and give you a straight recommendation.
