What happens during the consultation?
We walk the rooms with you, look at how the light moves through them, and talk about your floors, furniture, and what you want the space to feel like. We bring fan decks, narrow the options down with you, and put samples up on the actual walls so you can live with them for a day or two before deciding.
Why do colours look different in my house than in the store?
Because paint stores are lit with bright, neutral overhead lighting, and your home isn't. Edmonton adds its own wrinkle: our winter sun sits low and casts a cool, blue-ish light for months, so a white that looked warm and creamy under showroom lights can read grey on a north-facing wall in January. That's exactly why we sample on your walls instead of trusting a chip.
Can you help match a colour I already have?
Yes. Bring us the paint code if you have it, or we can colour-match from a physical sample — a cupboard door, a section of trim, or a piece of drywall cut from a closet. That's the usual route when you're touching up part of a home rather than repainting all of it.
Do I have to use the colours you suggest?
Not at all. The consultation is advice, not a condition of the quote. We'll tell you honestly if we think a colour will disappoint you in a particular room and explain why — then paint whatever you choose, properly.
How long does it take?
Usually under an hour for a few rooms, and it happens as part of the quote visit rather than as a separate appointment. Whole-home schemes take longer, and we'll often leave samples up so you can see them in morning, afternoon, and evening light before committing.
